Welcome!
I'm currently an Assistant Professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I previously completed my PhD in Social Psychology at UCSB in 2017, followed by postdoctoral training in Health Psychology at UCLA. Broadly speaking, research in my lab examines how stigma shapes wellbeing in its many forms. We typically examine these consequences through the lens of social identity threat, using both experimental and non-experimental methods including experience sampling, daily diaries, and theory-driven analyses of large, often publicly available datasets. We are also actively examining individual factors (e.g., social identification, social support) and interventions (e.g., self-affirmation) that may confer resilience in the face of stigma. Feel free to see my CV, Google Scholar profile or email me if you have any questions! Last updated: November 2024
